Hello, and welcome to the Brave Lords website. I was an active member of the United States Marine Corps from August 1966 to December 1968. I served 18 months in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. Since December of 2009 I have been working on producing a documentary film about Puerto Rican Vietnam veterans.

I was born in Puerto Rico and being proud of my culture and heritage, I wanted to recognize, give acknowledgement to, and shed light on the sacrifices Puerto Ricans have and continue to make in order to protect this great country of ours and the American way of life.

Through this documentary the viewer will experience the sacrifices, accomplishments, hardships, bloodshed, successes and failures of a people who have made tremendous contributions to uphold and support the democratic principles for which the United States stands and who remain largely an enigma to the larger American society.

This documentary film is the story of Boricuas whose heroic acts go largely unheard of, unrecognized and given no honor or acknowledgement, even to this day.

This documentary film, BRAVE LORDS, is our story.

Thanks for visiting,

Joe
